We moved to Coal Harbour, Downtown Vancouver a few months ago and we love our neighborhood so much!

Stumbled upon these gorgeous paper lanterns while biking through Stanley Park. There really aren’t any signs or markers, just lanterns swaying in the wind. To whoever hung these up, you are so dope! Thanks for bringing everyone joy during these times 💕

Any art lovers here?! We are both creatives (have been drawing since we were kids) and lucky to have grown up in N.Y.C surrounded by museums and galleries. We both majored in art and design in undergrad. Shay has a M.A. and Ty has a M.F.A. Our love for art brought us together 💕

When we heard an immersive experience (@imagine.van.gogh) the works of Vincent Van Gogh was coming to town, we were beyond excited!!! It was EVERYTHING! It so nice to have a date night out, our first in many months. Highly recommended - if you can grab tickets, it’s been extended through August!

🌸Cherry blossom season is coming to an end!

Did you know there are over 40,000 cherry blossom trees in Vancouver?

A few hundred cherry blossom trees were given as a gift from Japan, to be placed in Stanley Park in honour of Japanese Canadians who served in World War I

This week, is most likely the last to see them flowering. We stumbled upon this gorgeous spot yesterday while walking in an alley by our apartment building on W.Georgia and Bute!

Canada Place is one of our favourite places to visit downtown Vancouver. We live only a 5 minute walk from it. We’ve listed some some fun facts below.

👉🏽We love taking in the views of the North Shore mountains. There are 107 mountains in metro Vancouver! 75% of the province is covered by mountains.

👉🏽The Olympic Cauldron at Jack Pool Plaza was built for the 2010 Winter games.

👉🏽On the far right is a sculpture, Digital Orca by Vancouver artist Douglas Coupland. It acts as a sculptural conduit that allows the viewer to travel in time between the past and the future.

👉🏽About 900,000 cruise passengers pass through Canada Place annually. It’s the largest cruise terminal in Canada. No cruise ships have docked since the pandemic, it’s so strange to see Canada Place nearly empty!

This last year and few months have been the most challenging for us. Who knew that a pandemic would cause so much sadness, depression & anxiety!

But we are still here, 19 years & counting - finding joy in the simple things in life. We want to focus on the good things & hope that you can too.

Happy Good Friday! We aren’t all that religious but Easter is usually a big celebration within our family. We love to celebrate with them.

Everyone gets all dressed up, goes to church and then come home to eat a big meal. The little ones will have Easter baskets too. We also decorate eggs and have egg hunts too.

We can’t celebrate this year with our family and there are now further restrictions in B.C. but we are grateful for technology. We will spend Easter with our family virtually & we are grateful💕

Spotted a new mural in our hood & this one is quite special! The Wall for Women mural by @olavolo is a 42 foot mural with a hidden QR code where one can donate to women who have experienced domestic violence.
